ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:	
William served in the CSA army. His pension application 
says: William Cole, a resident of Georgia since February 1843, 
born January 20, 1830 in Rabun County; enlisted July 1863, 
Ellijay in Captain Wiat's company, 30th Georgia Battalion. 
Wounded with a gunshot in his arm.The 1880 Gilmer County census 
lists Harriet Dellinger, age 39, divorced, born NC, father 
born VA, mother born NC.  Julia A. Jones, daughter, age 20 
born Georgia, father and mother born NC; Julia A Cole, age 41, 
sister, father born Virginia, mother born NC, herself born NC. 
Mormon records say that Lorenzo Dow's father was William, that 
he was born in North Carolina and buried in Harmony Cemetery in 
Altoona, Alabama. However, no details on William are available - 
except that he was born about 1800 in St. Claire, Co ALA and 
married there about 1820. Why the trek to NC then? Also, this 
document says that William K was born in Gilmer, Cherokee County, 
Alabama. He was born in Gilmer County GA.
