Slone To William Forrester No. 270-24-2 Georgia, Gilmer County This indenture made this 2nd day of May Eighteen hundred and forty five between Andrew M. Slone of the county of Walker and State aforesaid of the one part and William Forrester of the County of Gilmer and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of sixty five dollars in hand paid by the said William Forrester before the s ealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell unto other said William Forrester, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the twenty fourth district of the second section (24 &2) of originally Cherokee now Gilmer County known and distinguished as the place of said district by the number two hundred and seventy. To have and to hold to said bargained premises to his heirs _____ ______ ________ _________ the said Andrew M. Slone his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the title of said tract of land unto the said William Forrester his heirs and assigns against the claim of himself his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple. In testimony whereof the said Andrew M. Slone hath hereby set his hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Newberry Williams A. M. Slone (seal) L. H. Harrel Georgia, Gilmer County, Before me John L. James, a Justice of the Peace for said County personally came Samuel M. Harrel, who being duly sworn hath ____ on oath that he was a subscribing witness to the within deed and also he saw Newborn Williams assign the seal with him.
