Alexander No 288-7-2 State of Georgia, Gilmer County This indenture made and entered into this Fourth day of May Eighteen hundred and Fifty two between James G. Gudger of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and John P. Alexander of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said James G. Gudger for an in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and Twenty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth ____ release and forever quit claim to the said John P. Alexander his heirs and assigns. All the right title claim interest or demand the said James G. Gudger has or may have had in and to the one undivided sixteenth part of the certain lot of land number two hundred and eighty eight in the fourteenth district of the second section of originally Cherokee County now Gilmer County containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less. Known as the Milton Gold mine lot with all rights members and apprentenances of the said sixteenth part of said lot of land to the said John P. Alexander so that the said James G. Gudger nor his heirs nor another person or persons holding under him shall at any time hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or its apprentenaces or any part thereof. In testimony whereof the said James G. Gudger hath herein set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
