John Hunnicutt Deed To M. J. Foster * STATE OF GEORGIA, GILMER COUNTY, This indenture made the (9th) ninth day of August in the year of our lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Nine (1889) between John Hunnicutt of the county of Gilmer of the one part and M. J. Foster of the county of Pickens of the other part. Witnesseth: That the said John Hunnicutt for and in consideration of the sum of eighty dollars ($80.00) in hand the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents does grant, bargain sell, convey and confirm unto the said M. J. Foster, his heirs and assigns all of a certain town lot in the Town of Ellijay being part of Lot No 31 in second survey of said land being all of said lot lying above the stable, now _____ _____ lot and extending up to where the fence now stands, lot bought of L. M. Greer of W. R. Welch making part one of two lots and originally parts of land lots number ____ both containing about one acre more or less. To have and to hold. The said bargained premises with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances there of pertaining to the only proper use benefit and behoof of himself, the said M. F. Foster his heirs ,executors, administrators and assigns in fee simple and the said John Hunnicutt the _____ premises unto the said M. J. Foster his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against the said John Hunnicutt his heirs executors and administrators and against all other persons or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend ___________ of these presents. In witnesses whereof the said John Hunnicutt has hereunto set his hand affixed his seal and delivered these presents the day and year first above written.
