W. H. Foster Sheriff To John W. C. West (l/2 minerals and white Slate on lots No 32 and 41 In the 5th Dist, 2nd Sec) The State of Georgia, Gilmer County. Whereas in obedience to a writ of Fiers Facias issued from the Justice Court of the 32d Dist, G.M., County of Gilmer at the suit of John W. C. West against B. C. West and Julia West, John Mulkey, a lawful constable of the County of Gilmer did lately seize the parcel of land hereinafter described as the property of the said B. C. West and returned to me W. H. Foster Sheriff of said county and I after the same being duly advertised agreeably to law did on the Fourth day of May in the year Eighteen Hundred and Ninety Seven at the place of public sale in the county of Gilmer expose the same within the legal hours of sale at public outcry when and where John W. C. West being the highest bidder the same was knocked off to him at the price of Ten Dollars and Fifty cents. Now this deed made the Fourth day of May in the year Eighteen Hundred and ninety seven between the said W. H. Foster Sheriff as aforesaid of the one part and the said John W. C. West of the other part witnesseth that the said W. H. Foster, Sheriff as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum Ten dollars and fifty cents to him in hand paid by the said John W. C. West at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey so far as the office of Sheriff authorizes him unto the said John W. C. West his heirs and assigns, all of one undivided half of the minerals and white slate in and on lots of land numbers Thirty two (32) and Forty one (41) in the Fifth (5) District and Second (2) Section in said county of Gilmer together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof; and also all the estate right title interest claims and demand of the said B. G. West in law equity or otherwise whatsoever of in or to the same to have and to hold the said premises and every part thereof unto the said John W. C. West his heirs and assigns in as full and ample a manner as the said B. C. West or his heirs and assigns did hold and enjoy or might have held and enjoyed the same had it not been seized and sold under the executives aforesaid. In witness whereof the said W. H.
