Berry Deed to John Ballew No. 86-8-2 Georgia Gilmer County, This Indenture made this the Eighteenth day of October Eighteen hundred and fifty one, between Neil C. Berry of the county and state aforesaid of the one part, and John Ballew of the County of Burke state of North Carolina of the other part, Witnesseth that said Neil C. Berry for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and does by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John Ballew his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being Cherokee Co. now Gilmer County Eighth district Second Section containing one hundred and sixty acres. No. 86. Eighty Six, to have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said John Ballew his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Neil C. Berry for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said John Ballew his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever. In Witness whereof the said Neil C. Berry hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written. Neil C. Berry, seal Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Witness R.L.
