September 30, 1901 Rev. G. W. Bull, D. D., pastor of the West End Presbyterian church, will accept the call which was recently extended by the First Presbyterian church at Portsmouth, Va. Dr. Bull's removal from Atlanta will be felt not only in his own church but by the entire city. No minister in Atlanta has a wider circle of friends or wields a stronger influence for good. In the Atlanta Presbytery, of which he is one of the most active and influential members, he will be greatly missed and expressions of regret are heard on all sides that he cannot be induced to remain with his present growing charge. Dr. Bull has been located in Atlanta just five years and a half. During that time the church of which he has been pastor has grown from a mere handful to one of the strongest churches in the community. He was formerly located at Opelika, Ala. He is regarded as one of the ablest and most eloquent young divines in the denomination.
