Atlanta Constitution January 20, 1909
Ellijay, Ga., January 19-
On Monday morning just before day a small man 5 feet 2 inches tall with his 
right hand withered and wearing a brown colored coat and dark pants, aged about 
35 or 40 years, walked into the house of Ephraim Yother, 2 miles east of 
Ellijay on the Dahlonega road, and died suddenly.  He could not speak plainly.  
He said he was from Tennessee.  There were no papers or other articles on his 
person by which to identify him.  No one here knows his name.
