THE DEATH ROLL.

Levi M. Greer.
Ellijay, Ga., March 30-
Mr. Levi M. Greer, for many years clerk of the superior court of Gilmer county, 
died at his home in this place yesterday and his funeral today was largely 
attended.  Mr. Greer was one of the oldest citizens of Ellijay and was highly 
esteemed.  He came to Ellijay in 1824 and lived here since that time.  He 
raised a large and honorable family and was an honorable man.  He had held 
several positions of honor and trust and was one of the pioneer citizens of 
Gilmer county.  He was the father of Mr. L. B. Greer, of the internal revenue 
department.
