Atlanta Constitution, 7 October 1884
Died on Election Day.

Ellijay, Ga., October 6-
William Kimsey, Jr., died on the day of the election, about 3 o'clock p.m., 
from a wound received on Sunday night previous.  Kimsey was at Blue Ridge 
church, near the Fannin county line, on Sunday night, when Bob Woody and Webb 
Findley got into a shooting scrape, and was trying to part them, when he was 
accidentally shot.  Woody was severely, if not fatally, wounded.  Findley shot 
Woody in the right hand, or he would have been killed or wounded.
