His son Robert Alexander Holden inherited the home in 1869. Today the home is in ruins and falling down. In the early 1820's Ozias came to Gilmer Co, Ga while the Indians were still there. He bought land from the Indians along the Cartecay River paying for the purchase with one pony and $20.00 in gold. Ozias built a house of logs from the nearby forest and 11 children was born and reared in the home.
