McClure found in the 1850 census in Gilmer County, Georgia as follows: typed page 375, Reece J. McClure, age 44, listed as head of household, a farmer with real estate worth 600 (dollars?) , born S.C., listed with 11 other members of his household: Mary, 32; Mary A, 12; John ML, 11; Lovice, 10; Benjamin F, 9; Martha J, 8; Addaline, 6; Sarah J, 5; Robert N, 3; Eliza A, 2; and Nancy H, 1. I believe this Reese J. McClure in 1860 was in Fannin County, Georgia, as follows: typed p. 1023, Reese J. McClure, 53, M, farmer, real estate value 1000, personal estate value 500, born SC. Listed with Mary, 48, Martha, 19, Hefsey? 16, Sarah, 14, Robert, 13, and on p. 1024 Eliza, 11, Harriet, 10, Thomas, 9, and Reese B., 7. And in 1870, the Fannin County, Georgia census lists: printed p. 371, written p. 51, lines 25-28, McClure Reece, 64, M, W, Farmer, owned real estate valued at 700, personal property worth 400, born SC, eligible to vote. Listed with Julia (50), Eliza (20), and Bowen (16).
