Jeremiah Christopher Kelley, 90, pioneer settler of Mitchell, died 7/5/1942, 
in a Sandersville hospital. Son of the late Capt. Allen Kelley of the 48th 
Georgia regiment of the Confederate army and Mrs. Sarah Kitchens Kelley.
Funeral: Mitchell Methodist Church 7/6/1942. Rev. R. O. Edenfield and Rev. 
Harry Moore officiating. 
Burial: Mitchell cemetery. 
Occupations: teacher, lumberman, farmer, banker, merchant, gin operator,  
county official. 
Marital history: 1st married to the late Miss Felicia Lassiter. 2nd marriage 
to the late Mrs. Josephine Lozier.
