Pension Application Commonwealth Of Va.
Thomas Henry King born 1837, enlisted in the Confederate Army in Va., in 1861. He
was 
captured at the battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse, May 12, 1864. Sent to Point
Lookout, Md.(
(prison for Confederates then to Elmira, N. N. When General Lee surrendered to
Ulysses Grant, April 9, 1865
Thomas was paroled July 1864. He had to walk home 300 miles. He told my Dad William
(1906-1995)that he couldn't
tell where he was shooting as the powder wasn't smokeles and more.
