Jan. 24th

Mr. J.B. McGill passed away Friday morning after a long illness. He was 70 
years old and is mourned by a wife and five children and a host of friends and 
relatives.

Mrs. Jesse Connor, son Elmon and Miss Sarah Moore from Alexander City, and Mr. 
Oscar McGill of Brunswick, Georgia were called to attend the funeral of their 
uncle.

News reached here last week of the sad death of Mr. Jesse Conner. His wife was 
carried to the old home.

J.C. Connor, former well known Roanoke citizen, died in Alexander City a week 
or so ago.
