MR. AMES DEAD—Mr. J.W. Ames, lighthouse keeper on Little Cumberland, died at 
New York Saturday night.  Mr. Ames had gone to New York to have an operation 
performed and it proved fatal.  The interment occurred there yesterday.  A 
large circle of friends regret his death.  Charles and Savannah papers please 
copy.
