ANDERSON DEAD—Brother of the Major of Fort Sumter Fame Passes Away. Cincinnati. November 20.—Captain William P. Anderson died suddenly at his home on Pike street, this city, tonight of heart failure, aged fifty-seven. He was a nephew of Major Anderson, of Fort Sumter fame. He was pre-eminenlty a man of affairs. Though retired from active business for several years, he was at the time of his death a director in the Big Four and Chesapeake and Ohio railways, a director in the American Cotton Seed Oil Company, one of the governors of the Jekyl Club, near Brunswick, Ga.; a director in three important local companies and a director in the Citizens’ National bank.
