BLAIN BRUNSWICK, Ga., December 26—(Special)—After a long and painful illness, Dr. James S. Blain died at his residence in this city. He served during the late war with distinction as captain of the Brunswick Riflemen, from which rank he was promoted colonel of the Twenty-sixth Georgia. Up to the time of his death Dr. Blain was health officer of this port, and was universally esteemed and respected. He leaves a wife and five children to whom our entire community extends its deepest sympathy.
