He was stricken at his home, 106 N Street, and was rushed to the Brunswick hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock in the chapel of the Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. W.M. Phillippe, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Palmetto Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Winton Jacobs, Raymond Jacobs, Charles Crews, Kelly Allen, George Bennett, Jesse Moore. Honorary: Robert Edgy, Roland Cody, Russell Dees, Jim Boatwright, C.P. Blue, J.B. Clark, Marcus Anderson. Mr. Browning, a native of Helena, Ga., was formerly a paint contractor, but had recently operated a grocery store on Bay Street. He was a member of the Brunswick Moose Lodge. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nora Browning; two daughters, Jo Ann and Nancy Browning; one sister, Mrs. J.B. Tankersley, Brunswick; and one brother, Claude Browning, Miami.
