The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Greater Hall Temple Church of God in Christ with the Revs. M.C. Denegal and G. Bobby Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the First African Baptist Churchyard Cemetery in Fancy Bluff. Pallbearers are grandsons and officers of the church and the mission union. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Prudence Hall Chapel of Hall, Jones and Brown Funeral Home. Surviving are two sons, Jacob Carroll Sr. and Roy M. Carroll, both of Fancy Bluff; three daughters, Harriet Weston, Gwendolyn Muchison and Sharon Drummond, all of Brunswick; a sister, Beatrice Haywood of Waverly, 33 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A native of Glynn County, Mrs. Carroll was an usher of the church and Missionary Society member. She was a homemaker and a member of the First African Baptist Church in Fancy Bluff.
