Canady Date January 18, 2003 Jewell H. Canady, 80, of Brunswick died Jan. 10 in Camden County. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m., January 13, 2003, at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Hurst officiating. Burial followed in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gene Murray III, Tim Dunlap, David Kent, Gary Maddox, Phil Harding and Rocky Spaulding. Honorary pallbearers were Gene Murray Jr., Gene Hall, Pete Sellars, Jimmy Ray Johnson, Roy Hall, John L. Tyner, Lamar Ammons, Camden County EMS and the Dorcas Sunday School Class of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund. Mrs. Canady was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Reeves Canady. Surviving are a son, Edward R. Canady of Woodbine; two granddaughters, Caroline C. McMillan of Statesboro and Suzanne C. Coyle of Woodbridge, Va.; a sister, Margaret H. Purcell of Swainsboro; a niece, Joe Nell Murray of Woodbine; and two great-grandchildren. A native of Emanuel County, Mrs. Canady had been a resident of Brunswick since 1944. She was a member of the White Shrine, the Order of the Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth, in which she was a past worthy matron. Mrs. Canady was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
