27 October 1875; The Brunswick Advertiser & Appeal; pg. 1 col. 3

	We are pained to announce the death of Mrs. and Mr. Joseph 
Doerflinger, Sr., of this city-the former seventy-two and the latter seventy 
years of age.  They have lived happily together for many, many years, and now 
in ripe old age have "crossed the river" in five days of each other.  Their 
separation was indeed short.  The stricken children and friends have our 
sympathy.
