The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Twitty Chapel of the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Long and the Rev. Jimmy Crandall officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Men’s and Women’s Class of the First Baptist Church. The body will remain in the funeral home and will be placed in the church one hour prior to service. The family requests that those wishing make memorial contributions to the building fund of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick. She is survived by her husband, James Wilson Flanders of Brunswick, and several cousins. Mrs. Flanders was a native of Wilcox County and had been a resident of Brunswick since 1942. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick and was very active in the church. She was a retired teacher at the Sidney Lanier Elementary School and was a graduate of the Georgia State College for Women at Milledgeville. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
