15 March 1877 The Brunswick Advertiser & Appeal; pg. 1 col. 3

	Jake Dean and Cash Jones (both colored), laborers at Cook's mill, were 
playing with each other last Thursday night (March 9, 1876), when Dean drew a 
pistol and punched Jones in the side.  From some unknown cause, the pistol 
fired sending the bullet into him.  Jones died in a few hours.
