Keen, 59, Succumbs Sunday Cecil Youmans Keen, 59, a resident of 529 Norwich Street, died Sunday at the Brunswick hospital after an extended illness. He had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 35 years. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mattie L. Keen, Brunswick; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lockhartt, Augusta and Mrs. Essie Shadron, Brunswick; three brothers, Howard L. Keen, Waverly, Ovid J. Keen, Savannah, and Grover C. Keen, Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11am in the Salvation Army Church with Maj. Tom Richmond and the Rev. Henry Sapp and the Rev. H. D. Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Clint Keen, Bennie Lockhart, Dewayne Keen, Tonnie Shadron, Terry Keen, and Kerry Shaddix. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. W. O. Inman, Dr. W. A. Synder, Aubry Hudgins, Robert Birizias, Robert Shadron, Floyd Lockhart, and George Chaney. The body will be taken to the residence this afternoon and will be placed in the church an hour prior to services. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
