Keen Dies Today William Thompson Keen, 83, of Brunswick died this morning at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah. The funeral will be at 3pm Monday at the chapel of Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Turner, Bill Gray, Andy Riggs, Emory Young Jr., A. J. Riggs, and Bobby Keen. Honorary pallbearers will be Drs. Lana Skelton, Richard Thompson, and Steve Novack. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Sunday night at the funeral home and requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association. Surviving are two sons, Martus R. Keen of Brunswick and William K. Keen of Ellabelle; a sister, Eva Mae Martin of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother, Estese Keen of New Ellington, SC; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The Dublin native had lived in Glynn County since 1953. He had been employed with Glynn Ice Company and managed the Zippy Mart on Norwich Street. He worked with Kelly Services and retired from the city of Brunswick in 1977. He was also a member of the Arco Baptist Church.
