KEEN PASSED AWAY AT HIS HOME LAST NIGHT J.M. Keen, 69, for many years a well known citizen of Brunswick, passed away at his home on Monk street late last night, following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Keen, who had been in poor health for some time, has been confined to his room for the past two weeks, and for three or four days his condition had been serious. The deceased for years was traveling representative of the Lott-Lewis Company, formerly engaged in the wholesale grocery business, and was well known among many friends throughout this entire section. The deceased is survived by his widow and two sisters, Mrs. J.M. Bunn and Mrs. Pauline Wylie, both of Danville, Ga. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock from the First Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. A.W. Rees. Mr. Keen was for years a member of the local lodge of Masons and the Masonic funeral rites were held at the cemetery. The following friends acted as pall bearers: J.J. Vickers, F.M. Scarlett, V.C. Bourne, D.W. Middleton, D.W. Krauss, J. Van Dyke.
