Mr. Mullen was a native of New York, and had been a residence of Brunswick for the past 48 years. Paul was a veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of Balboa High School in the Panama Canal and Southern Polytech State University in Marietta. He was a member of the Brunswick Country Club, the Elks Club and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was employed by Seaboard Construction Co., and was the vice president of the Arco Construction Co. Paul enjoyed playing golf and poker. He is survived by his wife, Pellie Frances Mullen of Brunswick; a daughter Patricia "Paddy" and husband Michael Martin of Brunswick; a son Paul Donald Mullen II and wife, Amy, of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Erica (Farrell) Martin Hinson of Greensboro, N.C., Michael (Corky) Martin II of Brunswick, Sarah, Luke, Tess Mullen all of Charlotte, Jennifer (Joel) Baker of Alabama, Sheana (William) Swann of Ala.; and three great-grand children, Joshua and Zachariah Hinson, both of Greesboro N.C., and Emily Swann of Ala. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Lee Mullen McKenzie; a great-grandson, Elijah Todd Hinson; and his parents, Loretta V. and Curtis Duncan. Vistation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in the chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Cletus Pifher will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dale Leonard, Leon Leggett, Ron Volz, Harry Kicklighter, Jim Murray, Farrell Hinson, Fred Steinmann and Michael "Corky" Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Skelton Wathins, Dr. Butler Heery, Dr. Chitty Levy Grubb (El) and the Southeast Georgia Health System CCU nurses. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1690 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31520 or the VFW 1034, Glynn Parkway Road, Brunswick GA 31525.
