OPDENBROW [sic] TAKEN BY DEATH Mrs. Lillie Schoeppel Opdenbrow, 73, died today at the Brunswick hospital after several months illness. She resided at 1422 Reynolds Street. Mrs. Opdenbrow, a lifelong resident of Brunswick, was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Philathea Sunday School Class and the Wesleyan service guild. She was an emeritus member and past matron of Neptune Chapter No. 153, Order of Eastern Star. She was the widow of Leroy D. Opdenbrow. She taught music here for many years and was organist for several churches. Survivors include several cousins. Funeral services, under the direction of Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Bernard Brown and Major Ruby Childress of the Salvation Army officiating. Interment will be in Palmetto Cemetery. Eastern Star rites will be held at graveside. Active pallbearers will be J.M. Exley, Herschel Mauldin, Bertie Robson, Mack Haskins, W.A. Whittle, George H. Jenkins, Ernest Crandall and Franklin Crandall. The body will be taken to the residence this afternoon and will remain there until an hour before service.
