PHILLIPS DIES HERE FRIDAY Evelyn Flanders Phillips, 65, of Brunswick, died Friday at her home following an extended illness. A native of Emanuel County, she was a retired employee of the W.T. Grant Co. She spent most of her adult life in Miami, Fla. and had lived here for the past three years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, A.C. Phillips of Miami, Fla.; three brothers, J. Wilson Flanders of Charleston, S.C. and Henry C. (Hank) Flanders of Georgetown, S.C.; and a sister, Mrs. Celeste Flanders Dorman of Beaumont, Texas; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Twitty Memorial Chapel at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Tommy McMillan and the Rev. E.L. Byrd will officiate. Interment will be at Brunswick Memorial Park. Chapman Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
