Stewart, 45, died at his residence in Fairview Trailer Park Saturday night after an extended illness. Stewart had lived in Brunswick practically all his life, coming here from Savannah, and was a member of the First Methodist Church. Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Mary Coow [should be Cook] Stewart; three daughters, Kirby Ann, Pat and Nancy Stewart, and one son, Chris Stewart, all of Brunswick; his mother, Mrs. J.L. Stewart, Brunswick, four sisters, Mrs. J. Loron Brown, Mrs. A.R. Daniel, Mrs. J.M. McMillan and Mrs. Paul Bierbaum, all of Brunswick; two brothers, Joe G. Stewart, Savannah, Ga., and Johnny Stewart, Atlanta. Funeral services were held this afternoon in the chapel of the Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carroll Tinsley officiating. Interment was in Palmetto Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Jimmie McMillan, Stewart Daniel, Michael Brown, J.H. Bisson, George Perry, and Conrad Cook.
