Miss Symons was a member of an old and prominent Glynn county family. Her parents were the late Henry R. and Frances Morel Symons, who also had resided in the county practically all of their lives. Miss Symons made her home in Brunswick for many years, but removed to the island a number of years ago and had since resided there. She was well known and popular among many friends in the city, on the island and elsewhere. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Frances Risk, St. Simons, and Mrs. Eugene Burden, of Macon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held at Christ Church, Frederica, conducted by the rector, the Rev. J.E. Bethea, and burial was in the family plot here in Oak Grove cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Harry Parker, Arthur True, J.B. Lamb, Reginald Taylor, Sr., C.T. Butler and R.A. Gould. The Miller Funeral Home was in charge.
