He was a native of Terrance, Italy and had been a citizen of the United States for the past 51 years. He has been a resident of Glynn County for the past 40 years. He served in the U.S. World War II and also served in the Georgia Army National Guard and the Georgia Air National Guard. He retired from military service as Sergeant First Class. He retired from Georgia-Pacific, Bestwall Division, In September 1974 as lead-man in the board plant after 15 years of service. The is survived by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Hinson Tasciotti of St. Simons, three sons; Guy “Sonny” Tasciotti Jr., of Washington D.C., Paul V. Tasciotti and Thomas C. Tasciotti of Brunswick; a brother David Tasciotti of Washington D.C.; seven grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at noon at the St. Simons United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. C. Farmer and the Rev. C.C. Edmondson officiating, Interment will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Steven Hinson, Wesley McQuaig, Joseph Farmer Jr., Robert Kennision, Peter Davis, Randy Kennision, Mike Farmer, Gary Kennison and Ron Hinson II. Honorary pallbearers will be Glynn County sheriff’s Department, Tommy Cason, James Alexander, Henry Moss Sr., Charles Buckalew, Otis Taylor, Steve Szwast and Bud Chancy The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 until 9 o’clock.
