WATKINS, FORMER RESIDENT, PASSES AWAY M.E. Watkins, a former resident of this city, died in Jacksonville Tuesday night. The deceased spent all of his life here until a few months ago, when he went to Jacksonville to accept a position as marine engineer. His father was the late W.N. Watkins, an old resident of this city, and he held many important official positions in the city and county government. The deceased was 45 years old and leaves a wife and a number of relatives in this city. It was expected that the interment would be in this city, but no positive information has been received up to last night, so the arrangements are still in doubt as to where the burial will take place.
