WILLIAMSON PASSES AWAY HERE John Robert M. Williamson, 73 years of age, a resident of Glynn county for many years, died Friday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. Laura C. Manoe, 508 First avenue. He had been ill for some time but had improved and had returned to his country home near Fancy Bluff. He was stricken again Friday morning and returned to his sister’s home, where he died a short time after he arrived. The deceased was born in Screvin [sic] county, but lived the greater part of his life in this county, where he was well known and popular among a large number of friends. He was a man of high Christian character and for years was a member of the Methodist church. Mr. Williamson is survived by one sister, Mrs. Manoe, one half-sister, Mrs. Ivan Burney, of Florida, and two half brothers, Benjamin Williamson and J.E. Williamson, of White Oak. A number of other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held at the old family burial ground near Fancy Bluff at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A.W. Rees, with Mortician J.D. Baldwin in charge of the funeral. Pall bearers will be Frank Scarlett, Tom Matthews, R.M. Ricks, Peter Knudson [sic], John Dubberly, J.R. McQuaig.
