All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Amy Hedrick http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00013.html#0003209 July 25, 2005, 8:17 pm Source: Inventories & Appraisements Vol. D Pg. 21 Written: January 22, 1816 State of Georgia } Glynn County } I William Payne of said county at present of sound mind and memory blessed be God for the same well knowing & considering the uncertainty of this life do hereby make and publish this as my last Will & Testament that is to say firstly after my death it is my will and desire that body be enterred [sic] in a respectable manner in my place of enterment [sic] on lot number twenty six, in the town of Brunswick in said County. 2nd. after all my just & lawful debts are paid, I give and bequeath unto my Daughter in law Susannah Louise Osmont all the following property (viz) four lots of land situate lying and being in the Town of Brunswick aforesaid and known on the place of said Town by lots number Twenty six and number twenty eight and the two water lots adjoining and attached to them together with all the improvements thereon & thereunto belonging and one tract of land lying on the Buffalo Swamp in said County purchased by Richard Bradly[?] containing five hundred acres with one other tract of parcel of land lying on Bird Island on or near Turtle River containing eight acres together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the said several tracts of parcels of land in fee simple to her the said Susannah and her heirs forever. I likewise give and bequeath unto the said Susannah the three following named negro slaves viz Caty, Hamlet, and Peter and also one Bay Mare and one Sorrel Colt and all the stock of cattle in my mark and brand as recorded in said County and all other property whatsoever both real and personal of which I may be possessed at the time of my death to have and to hold to her own proper use and benefit and behoof. And finally [illegible] I hereby make and appoint Col. William Scott of Camden County & Col. John Burnett of said Glynn County my true and lawful Executors to Execute this my last will & testament hereby revoking all former wills & testaments by me at any former time made.
