MATT E. ELLIS

Matt. E. Ellis, enlisted April 1, 1861, Newton Co., GA,
wounded July 4, 1863, assigned to the armory until dismissed
on April May 27, 1865.  He served in Company H, 3rd Georgia
Infantry.

Matt moved to Calhoun after the war and lived there until
around 1920 when he entered the Atlanta Confederate
Soldier's Home, where he died in 1922.
