T. BLACK Mr. J. T. Black, who was for many years a citizen of this county, died at his home at Quitman Georgia, on last Tuesday, the 13th. He had been sick only a few days. He was 71 years old and leaves a wife and one child, Mr. A. T. Black, of Chattanooga, to mourn his death. Up to ten or twelve years ago he had been thoroughly identified with Calhoun and the up building of Gordon County. After leaving here he had lived at Dalton and Oglethorpe. He went from Oglethorpe to Quitman, where he died. He was brought here and buried at the Fain cemetery, a short service being performed by Rev. J. McD. Radford, of the Methodist church.
