Mr. Black was well known in Gordon county having spent the major part of his life there. For a number of years he has had a barber shop in Oakman. He is survived by his wife, one son, Hudon Black, of Oakman; five daughters, Mrs. Lee Fowler, of Cartersville; Mrs. Olin Butler, of Ramhurst; Mrs. Robert Teague, of Cartersville; Mrs. Frank Rogers, of Atlanta, and Miss Kate Black, of Oakman. One sister, Mrs. James Davis, of Calhoun; seven brothers; Bunyan, Norman, Paul, Colquitt, Clark, all of Oakman; Tom Black of Dalton and Carlton Black of Calhoun. Funeral services were conducted at Hopewell Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. G. D. Legg and Rev. Charlie Sluter officiated. Burial was in Hopewell cemetery with ? Bros. in charge.
