OTTO L. BLACK Mr. Otto L. Black, 63, of the Carters Community, Route 4, Chatsworth, died Tuesday afternoon at 6:30 at the family residence, following a heat attack. Mr. Black was born in Gordon County, on Nov. 1, 1915, a son of Mrs. Myrtie Scott Black and the late Aaron Clark Black. He was a barber for the past 25 years, and was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Maxine Mashburn, 23 years ago; and his father Aaron Clark Black, 11 years ago. Mr. Black was a member of the White Graves Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Stella Pack Black; five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Hallman of Resaca, Mrs. Faye Freeman and Mrs. Patsy Starkey, both of Calhoun, Mrs. Marcelle Gibson of Sonoraville, and Mrs. Marsha Townsend of Fairmount; two sons, Terry Black of Calhoun and Larry Black of Resaca;’ mother, Mrs. Myrtie Black of Carters; three sisters, Mrs. Mozelle Thompson of Resaca, Mrs. Jewell Corry of Calhoun and Mrs. Mable Correll of Ringgold; a brother, Dewey Black of Carters; 15 grandchildren, on great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral was held Thursday at the White Graves Baptist Church with the Revs. Perry Blackstock and Luther Patterson officiating. Music was arranged by the White Graves Trio. Active pallbearers serving included, Tony Black, Clarence Black, Rayburn Silvers, Tom Blaylock, Randall Gibson and Donnie Freeman. Honorary pallbearers serving included, Barney Greeson, Clyde Greeson, Tom Owens, Austin Greeson, Johnny Owens, Johnny Padgett, Donald Lee Jacks, Hughdon Davis, Clyde Davis, Tracy Thompson, Greg Silvers, Roy Pflughueft, and Bob Thompson.
