Calhoun Times - January 26, 1954
Mrs. Ella Pack Brooks 82, died Saturday night in a local hospital.  A member of 
the Christian Church of Pickens County for 64 years, she is survived by her 
husband, Luther Brooks; three sons, John Brooks of Calhoun; Harvey Brooks, of 
Franklin, and Jay Brooks, Alma; 17 grandchildren and several nieces and 
nephews.  Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. from the Liberty Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Homer Davis officiating.  Music was furnished by the West 
Evans Quartet.  Pallbearers serving were J. W. Shope, Trumand and Lee Pack and 
Newman, Raymond and Dennis Cronin.  Interment was in the adjoining cemetery 
with Thomas Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ella Pack Brooks was preceded in death by her parents, John & Sarah Feby Jane 
Stover Pack
