  Mrs. Iowa Mealer Cronon, 86, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998.  She was born Jan. 
16, 1912, in Gordon County, daughter of the late Aaron Mealer and Mary Reese 
Mealer.  Preceded in death by husband, Cecil R. Cronon, and son James Alfred 
Cronon; two brothers, Joh Mealer and Lendsey Mealer; four sisters, Emily 
Bennett, Annie Belle Silvers, Mary Lou Knight, and Irene Goble; and one 
grandson, Bobby Cronon.
  Survivors include two sons, Acey and Billy Cronon.  Interment was in the 
Fairview Church of God Cemetery, Oakman, Gordon County, Georgia.
