FOSTER Mrs. Gladys W. Foster, 71, of the Pine Chapel community, Calhoun, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003 at Gordon Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Gordon County on April 1, 1932, daughter of the late Colquitt and Vera Durham Black. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Oakman and was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Black and Asa Black. Survivors include her husband, John Foster, to whom she was married for 52 years; a daughter, Diane Dillard of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a son, Randy Foster of the Pine Chapel community; a grandson, Zack Foster of Adairsville; and nieces and nephews. Funeral was Sunday, Aug. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Bradley Anderson Memorial Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with the Revs. Jack Bell and Jimmie Timms officiating. The Rev. Eddie Brannon conducted the graveside rites. Interment was in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Angland, Wayne Howell, Zack Foster, Steve Black, Dale Coggins, and Keith Owens.
