E.W. Hudgins died at his home Tuesday morning at 3 o'clock after an illness of 
several weeks.  He was well known throughout the county where he has spent 
most of his life.  He was a consistent member of the Baptist Church and a 
devoted father of six surviving daughters, all of whom were at his bedside 
during the last illness.  Rev. M.L. Keith conducted the funeral service 
Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock.  The remains were carried to Oostanaula 
Cemetery for interment.

Additional Comments:
E.W. Hudgins was the son of Elnathan Davis Hudgins and Rebecca Denton 
Chastain.  He was the husband of Sarah Avaline "Sallie" Jones Hudgins.  His 
daughters were Bertie, Nannie, Minnie, Webbie, Sallie, and Mollie Hudgins.
