DOVIE GEE LONG

	Mrs. Dovie G. Long, age 75, a resident of the Blackwood Community, 
passed away Tuesday, July 14, at 9 a.m.  She had been in declining health for 
several months.
	She was born Nov. 22, 1894, daughter of the late Grant And Margaret 
Long Gee.  She had been a resident of the Blackwood Community for 26 years.  
She was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death 
by her husband, Willis Long, six years ago and a son, Henry Long, six years.
	Mrs. Long is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Childers of Calhoun; 
two sons, J. C. Long of Marietta and Carl Long of Calhoun; one sister, Mrs. 
Sarah Underwood of Farmville; one brother, Lewis Gee of Cartersville; 13 
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren survive.
	Funeral services for Mrs. Long will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. from 
the Ryo Baptist Church near Fairmount with the Rev. G. W. Shaw and the Rev. 
Glenn Townsend officiating.  Music will be arranged by George and Faye Goble.
	Interment will follow in the family lot of Ryo Cemetery.
	Pallbearers serving will include Jimmy Long, J. W. Long, Wesley 
Bailey, Charles Sheppard, Herman Long, and James Long.  The body will remain 
at the funeral home until the hour of service.
