Funeral notice by Combs Funeral Home

John Everett Cochran

John Everett Cochran, age 78, of Oakman passed away in the local hospital 
after a short illness Monday morning at 5:30 a. m.  
He was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church near Fairmount.  
Mr. Cochran is survived by one sister, Miss Eva Cochran of Oakman;  one 
brother, Harley Cochran of Mordesto, Calif.; several nieces and nephews also 
survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Cochran were held from the chapel of the Combs 
Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Graden Strickland.
Pallbearers were nephews.
Burial was in the Ryo Cemetery.


Additional Comments:
John Cochran was the son of William Cochran and Lucinda Shelhorse, grandson of 
Myers Cochran/Phoebe Dickey and grandson of Henry Fleming Shelhorse/Elizabeth 
Bates all who lived in Gordon Co., Georgia. 

The brother who survived should have been  Hurley Cochran of Modesto, CA not 
Harley or Mordesto.
