Pitts Calhoun, Ga., November 21 – Funeral services for Mrs. N.E. Pitts, who died Monday were held from the First Presbyterian church yesterday. Mrs. Pitts was the daughter of Robert and Mrs. Nancy Adair Craig of Gwinnett county. She moved to Calhoun with her husband, Captain Thomas H. Pitts, shortly after the civil war. The big bell in the Presbyterian church tolled 88 times in honor of Calhoun’s oldest and most loved citizen. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Mamie L. Pitts, principal of the State Street school, Atlanta and Miss Lulie Pitts, of Calhoun; a son, Logan R. Pitts, and a grandson, Henry M. Pitts, of Atlanta.
