Walter Blair Roddenbery was driving the car. The other young people were Misses Helen Lewis, of Camilla, Lota Speer, of Leslie, and Sarah Ledford and Mr. John S. Speer. The lights on the car had burned out and while attempting to follow a car which was only guided by a flashlight Walter Blair was mislead and ran off into a deep gulley. The car turned sideways, but the occupants were not severely injured. Miss Speer got caught under the car top and received several scratches and bruises. Miss Sarah Ledford is suffering from a sprained ankle. The other occupants were not hurt in any way. The accident occurred between Iamonia store and Beachton. It was not the result of any reckless driving; when the car turned Walter Blair was not going over twelve miles per hour.
