F. Sharnall, alias Dr. Shaftall, a former veterinary surgeon of Cairo, was arrested in Sylvania, Ga., last Sunday and brought back to Cairo last Monday. The Sheriff's office worked up the case and whereabouts of the Doctor. It will be remembered that he left Cairo very suddenly about 18 months ago and his whereabouts were unknown up until a few weeks ago. After going to Sylvania, it is said that he changed his name to Shaftall, as he was accused of being a German spy under the name of Sharnall. It is also said that he owns an interest in one of the leading drug stores in Sylvania. Sharnall was indicted by the March Term, 1917 Grand Jury for practicing without a license. He remained here in jail until Wednesday when he made bond in the sum of $300.00, assessed by Judge W. M. Harrell. We understand that bond was furnished by Mr. J. E. Forsyth. He will be tried at the next term of Grady Superior Court. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
