Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Holley and Mrs. and Mrs. L. E. Sadler and children, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Cain. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Gainous and Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Humphries, and children of Bonita Springs, Fla., is spending a while with their parents Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Johnson. Misses Codean and Bernice Sadler were the Sunday guests of Miss Hazel Holley. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Johnson and daughter, Willowdean, spent Saturd- day night and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johnson. Pleasant Grove News The revival at Pleasant Grove was greatly enjoyed by those who attended. We hope it will be even a greater suc- cess next year. Miss Addie kate Willis has been spending a while with Miss Odessa Ak- ridge. Mr. and Mrs. Major Butler and chil- dren, and Mr. David Tilly of Auburn- dale, Fla. is spending a while with relatives here. Miss Gladys Wadsworth and Miss Lillian Maude Barrett spent Thurs- day with Miss Addie Kate Willis at the home of Miss Odessa Akridge. Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Meadows called on Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Sadler Saturday night. Miss Jewel Wadsworth called on Miss Addie Kate Willis and Miss Odes- sa Akridge Friday. Misses Gladys Wadsworth, Lillian Maude Barrett and Addie Kate Willis called on Miss Edna Hudson a short while on Thursday afternoon. Miss Mescal Smith spend Friday with Misses Inez and Deane Wilcox. Miss Eunice Sadler of Cairo, has been visiting her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Wilcox. Miss Odessa Akridge spent Thurs- day with Misses Maude Lee Chapman and Devera Youngblood. Miss Jewel Wadsowrth spent Thurs- day with Miss Lucy Ferrell. Everybody remember Sunday School every Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Come and be with us. Union Springs News Mr. R. H. Mobley was a visitor to to Whigham, Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Knight and fam- ily, spent Saturday in Climax with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Knight. Miss Ruth Watson spent Saturday shipping in Whigham. Messrs. C. A. Mobley and Cary Hartley were business visitors to Quit- man, Thursday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Hambrick, of Tifton spent Sunday with Mrs. A. B. Mobley. Miss Ellie Mills is spending this week with her sister, Mrs. Amos Belle. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Mobley, Mrs. John Muggridge, and little daughter Jeanette of Cairo were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Mobley Sunday afternoon. Miss Nelia Hartley left Tuesday for Birmingham where she will spend a while with her sister, Mrs. M. C. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Larkins, Mr. Bob Poppell, Miss Berma Larkins, Charlie Mobley and Juanita Whigham attended preaching at Spring Hill Sunday night. Mrs. Alice Prevatte visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Mobley Monday afternoon. We regret that Mrs. Annie Long is seriously ill, at the home of her daugh- ter Mrs. A. B. Mobley. Providence Items We are very glad to report that our revival was greatly enjoyed last week by all who attended. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ulmer of Way- side, spent a few days here last week visiting relatives. Mrs. George Barrineau and daugh- ter, spent a short while here last week visiting realtives and friends. Mrs. Lois Miler of Lake Wales, Fla. and son, Eugene, spent last week end here visitn her mother, Mrs. M. Smith and other relatives. They were accompanied from Gainesville by Mr. T. D. Davis who visited relatives here. They returned to their homes Monday morning. Miss Lucile Jones of Magnolia spent several days last week visiting Miss Pauline Hand. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Sasser, of At- tapulgus spent last week here as the guest of friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bell, and fam- ily, of Tallahassee, Fla., spent last week-end here visiting relatives. Mrs. Mary Harrison of Pine Hill, is spending several days here as the guest of her son, Mr. Cancel Harri- son. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Mobley spent a short while here last week as the guest of the latter’s parents, and fam- ily, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Baggett. Miss Annie Mae Mobley of Union Springs spend a while here last week as the guest of Miss Hazel Baggett. Mr. C. C. Baggett and daughter, Miss Hazel, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Mob- ley, Miss Annie Mae Mobley and Mr. Marvin Baggett spent last Thursday afternoon at Lake Jackson. -------------------- Roy Miller is the only pupil at the Lynchburg School near Girard, Ill. Pine Level Dots Revival meeting began on Saturday, July 11. Everybody has a special in- vitation to attend. Come and bring someone with you. Miss Verna Lee Norton has return- ed home after a visit in Alabama with friends and relatives. Miss Mary Ponder and Mr. Julian Allen was among those who attended preaching at Long Branch Friday night. Miss Goldie Jones and Miss Eloise Harper were the week-end guests of Mrs. Sydna Jordan. Mr. Buford Brock, Mr. Willie Mer- ritt and Miss Cleo Merritt were the Saturday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Griner in Cairo. The Fourth of July dinner given by Mr. John Taylor was enjoyed by all who attended. Mr. Oneal Maddox was among those who attended Sunday School and pray- er meeting Sunday. Mrs. J. K. Godwin called on Mr. W. H. Maddox, and family, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Brinson were the Saturday night guests of Mr. Lee Drew of near Turkey Creek. Miss Mishie Brock called on Miss Mary Ponder Friday afternoon. Everybody remember home-coming day, Sunday, July 12. Come and bring well filled baskets. Remember Sunday School will be 9:30 o’clock Sunday morning. -------------- Mike Kaplan, an Irish barber, re- tired recently when he was notified he had inherited $35,000 from a rel- ative in Dublin. --------------- All the 250 waitresses of a chain of London restaurants, bobbed their hair within three days after rules against bobbing were rescinded.
